Ancient Epidavros (pop 2000) is one of the most picturesque places in Greece.

Its sheltered location and natural surroundings of mountains, lush valleys, and clear blue sea will provide you with an unforgettable holiday experience.

Orange groves tended in a traditional manner by farmers abound – the smell of orange blossom in late April fills the air; and throughout the year, the lush orange and green contrasts with the deep blue skies. Epidavros was the site chosen by the god Asklepios for his main healing sanctuary. The peninsular called ‘nisi' is the site of the small ancient theatre built in the forth century BC. Ancient Epidavros is a popular summer destination for Athenians, but is seldom visited by foreign tourists. The village comes alive every July when it hosts the music festival. Also in July is the local agricultural festival, where local produce is sold from market stalls in the port.
